Student community

The student body at the Faculty of Education is one of the biggest and most active in Cambridge, and the Children's Literature students form a friendly and supportive community within it. Find out more about us on this page and on our blog and Facebook page. Or see our new video.

Creative writing
The MPhil in Critical Approaches to Children's Literature includes a module on creative writing for children. Here are some examples of writing from previous years.
What we're up to
- Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award. – we're making a nomination for the 2012 award.
- Children's Literature Reading Group – meets three times a term.
- Child and the Book – a group of PhD students are participating in this conference in Oslo in April
- Words & Pictures Seminars – we've just finished another successful series with the Anglia Ruskin MPhils in Children's Book Illustration.

We're a friendly bunch, we love our subject, we don't bite – and we'd love to make new friends. If you're thinking of applying to study here, or if you'd like to know more about any aspect of Children's Literature at Cambridge, please feel free to contact us via the blog or our Facebook page. We'd love to hear from you!
