Collaborative Teacher Research

There are a large number of active researchers based both in the Faculty and in partner schools who perpetuate the long standing McIntyre and Rudduck tradition of working collaboratively to use and create knowledge about teaching for the betterment of students’ learning in schools. Practitioner Professional Development:

Currently there are about, 368 PGCE (158 Primary, 210 Secondary), 350 Masters students and 190 Doctoral students at the Faculty. The majority of the part- time masters and EdD students also undertake research studies whilst also working in schools. Some of these students go on to publish their work.

Kenichi Udagawa,
a former MPhil and PGCE student has won the first BERA Masters Dissertation Award forhis MPhil thesis. Kenichi is now teaching in a London school.

SUPER

CamSTAR
The CamSTAR (Cambridge, School Teachers and Research) Network works with teachers and schools on professional development through practitioner research. Dr Sue Brindley
