It can be delivered as a bespoke course in situ for between 10 and 20 participants. It is suitable for both teaching and non-teaching staff, and is aimed at graduates and non-graduates with relevant professional experience. It results in a Cambridge Post Graduate Certificate of Professional Study.

The course aims to:

- Support the development of skills for being an effective mediator and restorative practitioner
- Support the development and evaluation of conflict resolution initiatives such as anti-bullying strategies, peer mediation and Restorative Justice in schools
- Support the development and evaluation of teaching personal social and emotional skills through PSHE and Citizenship
- Enable reflection on processes of behaviour management, child-centred collaborative discipline, and support for young people at risk of school exclusion
- Provide a structure for auditing a school (or a service) and formulating an action plan for promoting peaceful schools.
