Accreditation

All Courses run by the Faculty of Education are accredited by the University of Cambridge, and each carries a different number of credits.

A Postgraduate Certificate of Professional Study is worth 25 Masters level credits.

A Postgraduate Certificate in Educational Research is worth 65 Masters level credits.

A Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Studies is worth 90 Credits.

It is possible to combine credits gained on Faculty of Education courses in order to further your progression. While it may be possible for you to use your masters level credits at other insititutions it is normally not possible for masters level credits gained at other institutions to be used at Cambridge.

Progression to a Masters

Those who have succesfully completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Studies with a Distinction are encouraged to take the next step forward onto the second year of one of the Masters in Education (MEd) courses offered by the Faculty of Education. Due to the MEd application process, the place is dependent on a succesful interview with the convenor of the relevant Masters programme.
