Will I be taught in College or the Faculty?
Every student at Cambridge is based in a college. Undergraduate colleges normally have students from the full range of arts and science subject and most welcome applications to study Education. You can find out which colleges accept students for which education course on the Course content: subjects pages. Education Tripos students enjoy the full benefits of college life, including arts, sport, social events, etc.
Your Education Tripos lectures will take place in the Faculty of Education on Hills Road; you will attend your subject lectures alongside other students in that subject and will be organized by that Faculty/Department.
Your supervisions - the intensive small group meetings that are one of Cambridge's strongest selling points - are organised by your college's Director of Studies (DoS). As with the lectures, your Education supervisions are likely to occur in the Faculty and your subject supervisions in that department or in your college. In addition to arranging supervisions, your DoS will give you regular academic advice and support. You can find out about the DoS for each college on the Directors of Studies list.
