We invite you to join us on the 30th – 31st May this year for the 16th Kaleidoscope conference! This is a wonderful opportunity to share your research (at any stage), connect with other educators and researchers, exchange ideas, find inspiration and food for thought!

Theme

Crossroads in Education: How do theory, policy, and practice intersect around the globe?

Over many years, there has been ongoing debates between theory and practice in education. While theoretical understanding is an important component in practice, the transition from theory to practice continues to be a challenge. In our attempt to disentangle the complex nature of where theory, policy, and practice meet both nationally and internationally, we seek to find answers to the following questions:

  • How can understand the interaction between research,
    policy and practice?
  • What is the practical value of learning theoretical concepts?
  • How do we foster individual growth while also emphasising the
    • 1) importance of belonging and
    • 2) of the reciprocal responsibilities and privileges of education?
  • How can we improve the skills necessary for positive engagement in globalised communities?
  • How can we help the future generation build the skills necessary for positive engagement in globalised communities?

Embracing the diversity of ideas and research directions, we welcome submissions on interdisciplinary projects, empirical and non-empirical studies, innovative theories and methodologies, finished and unfinished projects. We also welcome research and projects carried out at the national and international level.

We invite delegates, practitioners and researchers, from the UK and all over the world to present their work through presentations (20 minutes), workshops (60 minutes) and posters.
