NQT Professional Development Conference 2017

At the Mary Allan Building, Homerton College

Professional Development Conference for NQTs
Making a difference to learning: newly qualified teachers as agents of change
Friday 24th March 2017
9:30am to 16:00pm

Conference Overview

The conference has been organised especially for NQTs to come to the Faculty for a day of CPD. The aim is for you to have the opportunity to undertake high quality professional development as well as to share your experiences mid-way through the first year of teaching.

The conference features talks from Professor Usha Goswami, Director of the Centre for Neuroscience in Education, University of Cambridge and Professor Steve Higgins, Professor of Education, University of Durham.  In between, you can select from a range of workshops during which we hope you will be able to reflect on your decision to become a teacher and gain creative and critical ideas to contribute to ongoing development in your schools.  In the refreshment breaks, you will have a chance to meet and network with NQTs from many different parts of the country as well as with lecturers and workshop leaders and also share ideas about becoming future leaders with other NQTs.

Please see further information on the conference flyer.

We very much look forward to seeing you there.
