Members of the Faculty of Education
The Library Service aims to support all members of the Faculty of Education. If you would like to borrow material please register by completing a membership form available from the Issue & Enquiry Desk. By registering with the Faculty Library service you agree to abide by the Library regulations.
Please ensure that all material you wish to borrow is charged to your Library Card at the Issue & Enquiry Desk and stamped with the correct date for return.
Members of the University
The Library Service primarily serves the needs of current students and staff of the Faculty of Education. However, other staff and students within the University of Cambridge are also able to register with the Library and borrow material. When you first visit the Library, please introduce yourself at the Issue & Enquiry Desk and complete a membership form, after reading the Library regulations. Remember to bring your University card with you!
Information for visitors
The Faculty Library is open to visitors for reference use only. Please introduce yourself at the Issue & Enquiry Desk and sign the Visitors' Book. Whilst visiting the Library, please be aware of the following regulations:
- Food, drink & bottles of water are not permitted in the study areas
- Large bags & rucksacks should be left on the designated shelves next to the Issue Desk - small handbags and laptop bags may be taken into the study areas
- Mobile phones should be switched off
- Noise should be kept to a minimum
External borrowing
External users with an interest in education can join the Library for a fee of £80 per calendar year, which enables you to borrow up to 4 books for 2 weeks at a time, subject to recall. Payment should be made by cash or by cheque and the following are required when applying for, or renewing, membership:
- proof of identity
- proof of home address e.g. driving licence, recent utility bill
