Library regulations
| Loan Periods: | All loan periods are subject to recall and recalled books must be returned to the Library no later than the return date given in the Recall notification. |
| Library Material: | Material must not be marked or damaged in any way, not even in pencil. Overdue books block your Library record which means they cannot be renewed and must be returned to the Library before any other transactions can take place. |
| Food & Drink: | Food, drink and bottles of water are not permitted in the Library study spaces. |
| Bags: | Large bags and rucksacks should be left on the shelves opposite the Issue & Enquiry Desk. Small handbags and laptop bags may be taken into the study areas. |
| Noise: | Mobile phones should be switched off and noise kept to a minimum in the Library. |
| Copyright: | Readers should observe the Copyright Regulations displayed next to the Library photocopiers. These also apply when accessing electronic resources. |
The above regulations are designed to:
- preserve the Library environment as a quiet, clean and pleasant place to study.
- preserve Library books for future generations of students and educational researchers.
- facilitate the distribution of material as fairly as possible amongst all Library users.
