Profile

Tehmina Hammad is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge. She is adopting a mixed methods approach to examine how NGOs’ construct notions of disability and education and how these constructions impact on their practice and life outcomes of persons with disabilities in Pakistan.

Tehmina possesses over twelve years of work experience. She has previously worked in the development sector in Pakistan, with the Aga Khan Rural Support Programme in Gilgit, Pakistan. She also led various evaluation research projects while at the Population Council in Islamabad, Pakistan, working closely with UNDP, UNFPA, ADB, and the World Bank. More recently, She has held senior policy positions at the London School of Economics and Cambridge University Hospitals. She is also one of the founding members of the Institute of Equality and Diversity Practitioners (IEDP) UK.
