Profile

Pamela holds degrees in Music Performance, Music Education, Education and Philosophy. Her primary interest is creativities research for which she is internationally recognised. She is the author/co-author/editor of 15 books, 21 reports,  and over 100 refereed journals and substantial book chapters. She is regularly invited to give keynote addresses and invited talks nationally and internationally.  She is presently co-editor of the international journal Thinking Skills and Creativity; chair of the Arts and Creativities Research Group (A&CRG) University of Cambridge and co-convenor of the Creativities in Intercultural Arts Network (CIAN); and previously co-convenor of the BERA Creativities-in-Education SIG. Pamela manages and/or teaches on an extensive set of doctorate and masters programmes, including the Masters in Arts, Creativities, and Education  (ACE), a course she initiated. She has also built extensive networks which link university, industry, school sectors and community and (inter-)cultural arts organisations. Her doctoral research supervision encompasses investigations which advance diverse creativities research, creative learning and teaching, learning cultures, creativity assessment, digital media, diverse musical creativities, creative industries and sectorial gender issues in higher education, conservatoire and community settings.
