Profile

Rosemary Deaney has a background in teaching across a wide range of educational settings. Much of her work centred around the use of information and communication technology (ICT) and included supporting subject teachers developing their pedagogical use of these tools. At Cambridge she has been involved in several funded projects in this area, most recently the T-MEDIA video case-study project. This collaborative study with colleague Sara Hennessy and teacher practitioners in science, mathematics, English and history led to the production of a series of five interactive CD-ROMs designed to support teacher professional development.

Her current research focuses on teachers' professional learning and she is working with Elaine Wilson investigating experiences of new Science teachers during their early career years.

Course Involvement

Rosemary teaches research methods and co-ordinates the Faculty's core research training course for MPhil students; she is also a member of the MEd Researching Practice teaching team.
