Profile
Seonghye Moon is currently working at the Centre for Commonwealth Education (CCE) at the Faculty of Education, Cambridge, on the leadership and pedagogy project in Tanzanian primary schools.
During her PhD study at the University of Reading, she carried out a critical ethnographic case study, focusing on the experiences of Korean families and their children in terms of linguistic, sociocultural and educational aspects in the era of globalization. It touched on the complex adjustment and accommodation process by the children from the different families of various length of sojourn period in the UK. In her PhD studies, she has provided training in relation to using qualitative data analysis software for several other PhD students and for colleagues.
She developed the syllabus for English Immersion Programme for primary school students organised by the university in Korea, and currently, as a course director, she initiated and developed an English programme for Korean undergraduate students in collaboration with the University of Reading. Its main aim is to help the students improve English proficiency level and experience many different aspects of life and culture in the UK.
