  • MA in Shakespeare, Text and Playhouse, King's College London and the Globe Theatre, Distinction, 2002
  • PhD received from Cambridge in 2007

Profile

I run the Drama in production courses for Prelim and Part 1 of the English and Drama with Education course, and teach Dramatic Literature at Prelim level and Modern Drama and Theatre at Part 2. I also co-teach the Arts in Performance course at Part 2. I supervise in Shakespeare and Shakespeare in Performance for the English faculty and will be co-convening the Graduate Drama Seminar for the English Faculty in Michaelmas and Lent terms. Before entering academia I was a professional actress, working in theatre, film and television. I am a trustee of The British Shakespeare Association (BSA) and organise acting/ academic session for the BSA conferences

Current Research Projects

I am currently preparing a publication for the Malone Society of actor's cue-parts held in Harvard Theatre Collection, and working on a chapter for a book on Shakespeare in the contemporary theatre.
