Profile

Joanne Waterhouse has worked in primary education for over twenty years, spending her formative years with the Inner London Education Authority (ILEA) in Tower Hamlets and Hackney. Posts have included deputy headteacher, advisory teacher for assessment and headteacher. She has worked as a Senior Advisor for School Improvement with Essex LA and trained as an Ofsted inspector. Joanne worked as a consultant facilitator with the Networked Learning Group at the National College for School Leadership (NCSL).

As a researcher Joanne has considerable experience of the secondary sector and she has worked for several years as a teacher and supervisor for various Master degree courses.

She is a member of the management team of Leadership for Learning: the Cambridge Network, organising their termly events. She is leading on projects, including an evaluation of the Children's University research.

Course Involvement

Joanne has taught on the ELSI MEd course and is a lead tutor with the SUPER MEd route. This includes a partnership CFPS on Research Methods.
