Profile

Dr Yiakoumetti's research focuses on sociolinguistic and educational aspects of second-language/dialect acquisition. The core of her research is assessing and interpreting patterns of transference from the native variety to the developing non-native variety. Her teaching responsibilities within the Faculty lie in lecturing and supervising for the M.Phil. in Research in Second Language Education.
