2008-2009

This course is aimed at any mentor or co-ordinator who is interested in developing their understanding of the mentoring process. Participants will have mentored at least two trainee teachers on any programme. The overall aims of the course are: to develop the mentor's expertise in this area, provide opportunities for them to reflect on their own practice and to help develop understanding of theories related to mentoring.

'I have found the course has had a really positive impact on my practice, increasing my enthusiasm for mentoring even more.'

'Within a structured, positive, communicative environment, the course content facilitates detailed personal reflection on teaching and mentoring practice.'

'I have enjoyed the course and found it very valuable. I have welcomed the opportunity to share practice, ideas and experiences with colleagues from a wide variety of backgrounds.
