LfL at ICSEI 2003 Sydney Australia
Cambridge was very much in evidence at this year's ICSEI conference. Faculty members, associate consultants and teachers in the network attended and presented papers or spoke in sessions.
We appeared in at least six different events.
1. The 'Leadership for Learning: the Cambridge Network' symposium chaired by David Frost. All papers presented within this session are available for download (go to LfL ICSEI 2003 papers).
2. The 'Carpe Vitam Leadership for Learning Project' symposium chaired by Sue Swaffield (see linked Carpe Vitam website).
3. The paper presented by David Frost and Judy Durrant: 'Bottom up? Top down? Inside-out? Joined up? Building capacity for school improvement through teacher leadership'.
4. The symposium 'Peer-critical friendship: a project for learning in 2002' chaired by John Jones.
5. The symposium 'Changing Schools: A Case Study in Large Scale Reform: National Priorities in Scottish Education' chaired by John MacBeath.
6. A celebration: a small party was held to celebrate the publication of 2 new books: 'Self-evaluation in the Global Classroom' edited by John MacBeath and Hidenori Sugimine with Gregor Sutherland and
Miki Nishimura and 'Teacher-Led Development Work: Guidance and Support' by David Frost and Judy Durrant.
Copies of both these books are available from the Faculty of Education; order by email ac207@cam.ac.uk
