Our Projects
Below are a few examples of our current LfL projects:
HCD Student Partnership
This project is a partnership between the LfL team and the London based educational trust 'Highest Common Denominator'. Its purpose is to stimulate student 'voice', participation, research and leadership. It works on a range of initiatives with primary and secondary school students and teachers as well as other partners in this country and internationally.
Carpe Vitam LfL Stevenage Extension
The Stevenage 14-19 Pathfinder cluster of schools are engaged with LfL on a leadership for learning research and development process. This is a direct extension of the international Carpe Vitam leadership for learning project.
Norfolk: Learning Catalysts and Family Work Stories
This multi-dimensional project supports members of school communities to act as catalysts for
learning and the raising of aspirations in disadvantaged areas. The project builds capacity by developing local people to become leaders of their own and others' learning.
CamNUT Learning Circles
This project with the National Union of Teachers provides a means for teachers to pursue professional learning. A pilot phase with four 'Learning Circles' involved teachers coming together to study themes of their choosing whilst undertaking a Certificate of Further Professional Studies.
Children's University
This is a three year evaluation project funded by the Department for Children Schools and Families and the Sutton Trust. Its purpose is to evaluate the work of the Children's University and provide feedback to the Chief Executive.
Leadership in extended schools
This is a collaborative project with Canterbury Christ Church University and is funded by the National College of School Leadership. It is concerned with identifying leadership issues in extended schools.
Teacher Leadership
This is an ongoing dimension of LfL which features the journal 'Teacher Leadership'. The journal aims to enable teachers to contribute to what is known about teaching and learning and about strategies to develop and improve this. The mission of the journal is to publish accounts of 'teacher-led development work'.
