Filming and Editing
The AVS Service have the equipment to film or record events that can range from individual interviews to conferences. These events usually take place on Faculty of Education premises but within reason we can film or record off site. Charges may apply, for further information please contact the AVS Service. We also have the capacity for basic film editing, and are able to assist with editing for podcasts or videos with various titles and transitions. Please note that we are unable film or record individuals unless permission has been obtained. Permission forms for consent are provided through the university and can be found here: http://www.admin.cam.ac.uk/cam-only/offices/legal/copyright/

Media Transfer
The AVS Service also can transfer video footage from DVD, Mini DV and VHS onto DVD at a cost of £2.00 per disk. (Prices are subject to change without prior notice).
We are also able to convert video footage into DV, Flash Video, MPEG-1/2, MPEG-4, QuickTime and Windows Media Video computer file formats. We can also convert audio on cassettes into MP3 and WAV computer file formats, charges may apply.
Please note that we are unable to duplicate copyrighted material unless permission is obtained from the copyright holder.
Off Air Recording
The AVS Service have the technology to record programmes from Freeview or UK radio stations within the parameters of the ERA license for Recording Broadcasts for Educational Use. Information for the ERA can be found here: http://www.era.org.uk/
