The Oxford-Cambridge Graduate Work in Progress Seminar Series (OC-WIP) ~ I
25th January 2008
Department of Education, University of Oxford, Oxford

On 25th January 2008, 25 PhD and MPhil students from our faculty visited the Department of Education at Oxford for the first of our Oxford-Cambridge Work in Progress seminars. The seminars give research students a chance to meet to discuss each others' work and education research in general. The topic covered at this first session was 'Philosophy of Education: Why we do what we do', where students listened to distinguished professor of Education Richard Pring speak about the philosophy of education research before commencing their own discussions.
The next Oxford-Cambridge WIP seminar will be held in Cambridge at the Faculty of Education in the Easter term. For enquiries about the forthcoming seminar, or if you would like to suggest an exchange visit to another UK university, please contact fesra-exec@educ.ac.uk.
