Research Groups
There are five academic groups in the Faculty that are led by senior academics. They represent the formal structure through which Master's and PhD students are organised. FERSA's student-led research groups operate within the academic groups and provide additional opportunities for students to communicate with others about their specialist subject.
Activities within the student-led groups include work-in-progress presentations, discussion of readings and visits to academic seminars within and outside of the Faculty. The groups are especially beneficial for PhD and MPhil Ed Res students who do not have regular thematic support and they, as well as thematic MPhil students, are encouraged to join a group that best supports their research interests.
