Research Seminars
FERSA hosts two series of Research Seminars within the Faculty of Education. The first is a postgraduate student forum where PhD, MPhil and MEd students present their work in progress. The second series is organised by students who wish to host a visiting academic speaker at the Faculty.

Student Research Seminars
This is a stimulating experience for students both to present their work but also to become aware of the research carried out by members of our student body. The Research Seminars have been established as a forum for the discussion of work in progress within our graduate student community. It is noteworthy that the Seminars organisers occasionally invite graduate researchers currently working in faculties outside the University of Cambridge as guest speakers. Accordingly, Research Seminars provide a great opportunity for networking within the broader research community. The seminars are held every other week of the term during lunchtime (1-2 p.m.). Light refreshments are provided. Students, who are interested in giving a presentation, are welcome to book a session by emailing Christina Hajisoteriou (ch414), Research Seminar organiser.
Guest Speaker Seminars
Research students who wish to host a visiting academic speaker can do so through this flexible seminar series. FERSA work to support the student as host, by helping them with room and resource organisation. This series is designed to support academic visitors to the faculty whilst giving students the opportunity to act as a seminar chair and organiser. Guest speakers in 2007-2008 have included academics from Brazil and Finland. Students should contact fesra-exec@educ.ac.uk for more information on hosting a guest speaker.
