Kaleidoscope 2025
Learning to Transform: Imagining Radical Possibilities in Education.
22nd Annual Kaleidoscope Conference at the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge
In-person: 05 - 06 June 2025
Conference Overview
As researchers, we believe in the role of education to transform, not just inform. With precarity and polarisation overwhelming learning, being and belonging, Kaleidoscope is a space where we can come together to learn from one another. To discover answers and perspectives as part of transforming our spaces of learning on how we research, become researchers, and embody the change we hope to see.
Kaleidoscope is an annual two-day conference hosted by research students at the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge. It is a great opportunity for us to not only share our work, but also introspect about what it means to be education researchers and to think about our social and political responsibilities outside of academia. Education is inherently political, and we hope our conference can be a place which challenges the epistemological lines between research, teaching, and activism, as well as whose knowledge is seen as legitimate. We hope to make this year’s Kaleidoscope a memorable, inclusive experience that encourages us to explore the intersections of our work, our lived experiences, and the broader field of education.
Thus, we invite you to join us in-person on the 5th and 6th of June for the 22nd Kaleidoscope Conference at the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge with the option for virtual presentations on June 6th only. This time of change is an opportunity for reflection and response. Through this conference, we hope to create a diverse and uniquely situated community of peers and colleagues, to think together and to learn from each other, to evaluate and to (re)imagine.
