Profile
Juliet is a Link Lecturer at the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge. She has contributed to the Faculty’s work for over 25 years, as a mentor, as a seconded Subject Lecturer teaching on the secondary MFL PGCE course and as a Professional Tutor.
Juliet has over 33 years experience as a French teacher, teaching across all the age and ability range at two of the Faculty’s partnership 11-18 secondary comprehensive schools. She was appointed to a number of academic leadership positions including Head of French, Head of Primary French, Head of MFL Faculty, ECT Induction Tutor and Head of Initial Teacher Training.
Juliet is passionate about the importance of team work and networking in teaching and their role in staff wellbeing, in particular amongst young members of staff and all new entrants to the profession. For example, she set up local Teachmeet networks for ECTs and their Induction Tutors as well as group training for local Primary staff delivering MFL in their schools.
