Profile
I’m proud and privileged to be able to work at the Faculty in a position to support trainee teachers as I was at Homerton many years ago.
As well as working as a tutor on the Primary PGCE course for 10 years I’ve been a teacher for over 30 years and a Headteacher for 20 years.
My time as a headteacher has provided many and varied experiences including working closely with a very large Traveller community and setting up a brand new School and Children’s Centre. I’ve also worked as a part time head supporting schools in challenging circumstances when my daughter was much younger.
I currently work as a teaching head in a small village school by the coast- the school I was a parent governor in when my daughter was there!
I also write for Schools Week reviewing blogs and podcasts which, alongside working with the Faculty team and trainees helps me feel constantly refreshed and excited to still be learning new things as a practitioner.
