Profile

Following a degree in Natural Sciences and then a PGCE, I spent three years as a primary school teacher in north London before joining the NRICH team as a Primary Teacher Research Associate.

Now, as the NRICH Primary Coordinator, my main role is to work with colleagues to develop primary level materials for the NRICH website. In addition, I help to run mathematics enrichment and problem-solving workshops for teachers and pupils in schools.

I am keen to promote mathematics as an exciting, rewarding and challenging subject, and I believe passionately that NRICH offers resources for all children, not just the most 'able'.

Research Topics

Use of NRICH problems with low-attaining primary children Use of concept maps to support 'stepping into' mathematical problem solving
