The Faculty provides cutting edge facilities for all of its graduate students. 

Library

The Faculty of Education Library & Information Service provides a friendly and comprehensive service to all students. It is located on three levels. The Lower Ground Floor holds the main body of Library book stock, together with the most recent issues of the Library's current journals and the reference collection. There are around 40 study spaces and easy chairs in the Current Journals area. There are computers located amongst the book shelves for quick catalogue checking and additional computers by the window for more in-depth searching of the catalogue or other bibliographical databases. Laptop computers can be used in designated areas and other areas of the Library are reserved for quiet study. The library contains back issues of current journals, a pamphlet collection, video and DVD players and additional computers for searching online bibliographical databases. The library website also provides full-text access to many online resources in the field of education such as electronic journals, ebooks, reports and conference papers, as well as giving further information about the Library.

IT Services

The Faculty has three IT rooms equipped with a variety of Windows PCs and Apple Macs located in the Donald McIntyre Building. All computers are directly connected to the Cambridge University Data Network allowing fast internet access. There is a wide range of academic, educational and productivity software available. There is also a range of peripheral equipment available to students such as scanners and printers. The University also provides central facilities through the University Computing Service situated on the New Museums Site near the city centre. An extensive range of equipment is available day and night.

Audio Visual Support Service

A wide range of equipment is available for loan to students including video and audio recording and editing equipment, transcribers, digital cameras and associated items. Facilities for the preparation on conference presentation materials, OHP transparencies, reports and binding, together with related advice on methods and design are available from the Audio Visual Support Service.
