Course overview:
A one-year, part-time practice-based and professionally relevant course in assessment and examinations, grounded in current research and theory, led by tutors from Cambridge Assessment and the Faculty of Education.

Validation of assessment

  • Evidence in public examinations, including external examining and awarding

Who is this course aimed at?
This course is for people working in assessment who want to upgrade their knowledge and understanding of assessment and examinations. It will be valuable to you if you are working for an awarding organisation or a government body, if you are an examiner or if you are a teacher with a special interest in educational assessment and examinations.

Award: PCES (60 credits)

How is it assessed?: Submission of 2 x 4000 word assignments

Cost: £2800 per participant (£6387 Overseas fee). This will be payable in three termly instalments.

When is it available?: Oct 2018– July 2019
. Day School dates are 6th Oct 2018, 3 Nov, 19 Jan 2019, 16 Feb, 27 Apr, 18 May.

Who is teaching it?: The course is led by a teaching team of staff from the Faculty of Education and Cambridge Assessment. The team is chaired by Dr Ayesha Ahmed

Method of study: On-line and face to face attendance at the Faculty of Education, at six Saturday Day Schools
