- Engage with fundamental questions concerning the aims and values of education and its relationship to society;
- Explore global perspectives on education and educational development;
- Have the opportunity to study another academic subject alongside education, and to develop and enjoy the benefits of rigorous inter-disciplinary learning;
- Learn to conduct research and enquiry within the field of education thus enabling you to pursue postgraduate study in education;
- Prepare yourself to go into to teaching – if you should wish – with the opportunity of going straight on to a PGCE course.
