Career Options

The Education degree prepares graduates to enter the same full range of careers as any other Cambridge Graduate. In particular the emphasis throughout the course on understanding contemporary issues in society means that the Education Tripos can lead to careers in a range of areas such as law, human resources and other forms of management.
Education graduates often choose to enter careers relating to education such as policy making and administration in both local and national governments. Our global perspectives on Education prepares graduates for careers in international organisations, NGOs and charities. Our graduates also continue to engage with education through arts and museum education; educational journalism; educational activities within the community (including drama and music); and educational careers within the media and politics.
The Faculty of Education also offers the opportunity for further academic study at graduate level on full or part-time Masters courses, or by entry to the PhD programme.
