Phase II: 2011-2012
The second phase of the project involves expansion of the work to include all four primary schools in the ward: Ukombozi, Manzese, Kilimani and Uzuri. A recent training workshop held in May 2011 provided a forum for the four headtachers and teacher representatives to develop and devise a whole school development plan which will be managed by the professional development leader in each school.
A new collaborative research partnership established with the Centre for Educational Research and Professional Development, School of Education, University of Dar es Salaam provides an exciting opportunity to employ local research staff on the ground, to scale up the research study and to strengthen the research capacity of individuals and institutions.A professional development training workshop is scheduled for October 2011.
