Oxford Cambridge Exchange

The Oxford-Cambridge Exchange (OCE) is a student-led collaborative partnership between the faculties of Education at the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge.

Aim of the OCE

Each year, postgraduates from doctoral and Master’s degree programs at each institution come together to share their research initiatives, both ongoing and in development, in the spirit of identifying common themes, shared interests, and opportunities for collaborative engagements. The exchange aims to facilitate networking, encourage coordinated partnerships, and develop focused research projects that highlight synergistic concepts in the field of education.

How does the OCE work?

The exchange usually consists of two days, one in Cambridge and one in Oxford, within a month timeframe. The OCE Chairs of each university would meet regularly to work on the exchange, plan transportation arrangements, and share timelines.

Each chair is supported by a team that helps them in planning the exchange. The average attendance of each exchange is 50 people. At the end of each exchange day, participants are encouraged to explore the university landmarks and have a meal together.
