PEDAL: Partners

PEDAL partnerships

Directed by the LEGO Professor of Play, PEDAL’s strategic direction is overseen by an Advisory Board with representatives from academia, funding bodies and policy-makers from the UK and internationally. The Advisory Board helps prioritise our research agenda and acts as a 'critical friend'.

PEDAL collaborates with other departments and research centres within the University of Cambridge, including the Centre for Family Research (in the Department of Psychology). PEDAL also has close ties with a range of academic institutions both in the UK and internationally.

To conduct our research, we work with parents, primary schools and early years practitioners from across the UK, including the University of Cambridge Primary School.  If you are a parent or school and you'd like to take part in our research, you can email us [PEDAL@educ.cam.ac.uk].

As PEDAL grows and develops, we intend to work in collaboration with a range of stakeholders, including other research labs, play advocacy groups, non-governmental organisations, think-tanks, governments and international policy organisations.

The LEGO Foundation is PEDAL's founding funder.
