Masters in Arts, Creativity and Education
Arts, Creativity and Education is a Masters programme which provides a broad-based intellectual exploration, from an interdisciplinary perspective, of the key arts educational debates amongst policy makers, practitioners, and researchers in the UK and abroad. Students are invited to critically and reflexively engage with a range of literatures that orbit around three key questions: 'What is the purpose and impact of Arts Education?', 'What constitute diverse Creativities?' and 'What are the roles of the state in the arts?'
Full-time and part-time ACE students, together with all other MPhil and MEd students, also follow a foundation route in educational research, called MPhil Research Methods Strand or MEd Research Methods Strand.
In addition, the Faculty of Education provides access to visual arts and dance studios, as well as a black box theatre, and performance auditorium, for those who are interested in incorporating their artistic practices into their educational research.
