The REAL Centre adopts a systematic approach to engaging policy and practice by working in partnership with organisations and individuals in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Partners have jointly defined, planned, implemented, and analysed the research to promote its uptake. Adopting a multi-disciplinary approach using quantitative and qualitative methods, we pioneer research into overcoming barriers to education, such as poverty, gender, ethnicity, language and disability, and promote education as an engine for inclusive growth and sustainable development.
